This was a new side to Severus, in a way, and Lily liked what she saw so far. He was playing around with her, finally out of his shell, it seemed, and Lily thought it was great that he finally was seemingly starting to feel comfortable in his own skin. His smile made her heart jump, and she kissed him again, quickly, laughter evident in her voice and her emerald eyes. "You know what Severus Tobias Snape." she said, grinning and bumping her nose briefly against his.

"What's that Lillian Blythe Evans?" he asked, laughing a bit at her. He wasn't afraid to say it anymore. He was in love with his best friend. He couldn't tell her though, for the thought of her not being in love with her back. Though, the way that things happen around here, maybe if he told her, she would feel the same. Though, it'd be highly weird if she didn't love him back.

Lily laughed, this new side of him was great, this was really the true Severus and she loved it. Quirking an eyebrow at him, Lily leaned back in her chair for a brief observation. "Oh, Sev, you're such a... a... BOY!" Lily erupted into giggles, covering her mouth with both hands so as not to be too loud. But there was something in his eyes, smoldering, and she watched him curiously. "What is it?"

"Thanks for that shocking news Lily," Severus said, smiling at her. He just stared at her after her second comment. How does she always know what I'm thinking. Is it that noticable? he thought. He shook his head. "Nothing, my dear," he then kissed her hand. He smiled at her, and laughed a little as he remembered her shocking discovery.

Lily laughed, too, and decided not to push the matter furthur. If he wanted to talk, he'd talk. He kissed her hand so she kissed his nose. Grabbing her book off the table, she moved and contented herself with sitting down on the floor, her back resting against his legs, her head near his knees. Giving a content sigh she opened her book and resumed reading, though she could talk at the same time, of course. "I didn't expect all this to happen today, but I'm glad it did."
