James laughed lightly, "We'd be easy on you. You're pretty safe now, you're a friend." He told her, it was true. Anyone did anything to her, and he'd make sure they were...damaged.
"Few friends are better," he said, "Much easier to sort through true friends, find who you can trust."
James blinked, "I can think of one person." He said, slowly. Lily Evans. but he wasn't going to think of her not at the moment. "I don't really know what to say..."

She held her hand up for a high-five.
"So how do you plan to get me into the Slytherin Dorms Then?" she asked him quietly. You wanted this to work. It would be brilliant.
"Well my friends are just friends. I'm not close to many of them, but I'm trustworthy," she informed him, a sombre smile flitting across her features. She liked James, but no more than a close friend, for now anyway. He was kind, and he seemed like the kind of person you could trust.
She gaped. How could someone not like him? "Awwh," she cried. He liked someone, she could tell. "I don't like you in that way mate. I promise, I'm just messing you around." They were almost back at the school now.

James smiled, and lifted his own hand, serving a high-five.
"Invisability Cloak...." He said, "How'd you think we get away with so much stuff? We've a lot of supplies..."
James nodded, trustworthy people were good people, "If you don't let people close, you can't get hurt...but if you don't get hurt, you can't learn from your mistakes..." He said, slowly,
"You're good..." He said, "You had me believing you for a moment there."

Her mouth popped open, jaw hanging wide, at the words that tumbled from his lips. And Invisibility cloak? He had one? Where from? Who from. They were really really rare!
"Where did you get one of them?" She said, still amazed, "There's only a few left!"
"But if you let people close, and you are mistaken about them, you may end up with your secrets, and things you didn't want people to know around the school" She informed him, as she could tell that there was sympathy behind his eyes. "I don't trust people easy. Only if I've known them for years." And it was true. She didn't trust anyone at school, because they never tried to get close to her.
"I'm a good actress I guess. I cover my emotions a lot, so acting like I'm happy is used." She was rarely happy nowadays. There was no one to cheer her up from her depressed moods, so they lasted longer, and dug deeper.

James smiled slightly at her expression, he kind of expected it really. He shrugged lightly,
"It's been passed down my family for as long as anyone can remember." He told her, "I got it off my dad when I came to Hogwarts."
He nodded slowly, what she spoke was the truth. People are always misleading.
"I don't blame you. Trust is easily broken, and then...everyone knows everything about you," He agreed, "It's sad, really. I only trust Sirius and Remus and now you, and that's because I know you, and you're smart enough to keep trust."
"You don't need to act, show people how you feel. It'll make the load easier for you to carry."
